Quds Day Rallies ARound the World

Houston, TX July 10, 2015

Anti-Zionist Orthodox Jews Participate in Al-Quds Day Rallies in Many Major Cities

On July 10, 2015, rallies were held in many major cities worldwide to commemorate the International Al-Quds Day. This day is designated by many Muslim communities as a day of remembering Quds (Jerusalem), the entire Palestine, and the catastrophe and calamity that was brought upon them with the creation of the State of Israel.

Rabbi Speaking at Quds Day Rally in Houston, TX

Speech by Rabbi Joseph Kohn, of Neturei Karta International
at the International Al-Quds Day Rally, Jul. 10, 2015, in Huston, Texas

With the help of The Almighty, we are gathered here today on the International Quds Day, to speak up in solidarity with the oppressed people of Al-Quds-Jerusalem and of the entire Palestine.

I am a representative of the Jewish People true to the Torah from around the world, whether it is in Quds, Jerusalem, or in New York, or in London, UK, or anywhere around the world.  Wherever there is a very religious Jewish community true to Judaism, they are invariably opposed to the occupation of Quds and of Palestine.

We are here to remember that the land of Palestine, and the city of Quds, of Jerusalem, were inhabited by the Palestinian people.  When the state of Israel was founded these people were totally ignored, as the Zionist slogan went "a land without a people for a people without a land." They were displaced, oppressed, killed and robbed....unjustly and illegally, in order to make room for the creation of the modern State of Israel.

We as Jews are humiliated; we are mortified; we are ashamed, at the terrible injustice that is being done in our name, in the name of our religion, in the name our people. Some people think that the more religious Jews are, the more Zionist they are.  This is a fallacy. We invite everybody to go to the city of Jerusalem, or to Brooklyn, New York, the largest communities of strictly religious Jews and you would not find there one Israeli flag.  They all oppose Zionism.  They all oppose the existence of the State of Israel. Why? Is it because they are not loyal to their God?  They are not loyal to their religion? They are not loyal to their people? Are they really traitors? Self-Hating Jews, like the Zionists say? No. They are true to their religion. They send their children to religious schools. They devote their lives to the Almighty and His religion. The reason why religious Jews around the world oppose Zionism and the State of Israel is because it is a rebellion against God. It has no right to exist. It has no right to spill the blood of the Palestinian people; the people of Gaza; To steal and demolish homes in Quds, and to occupy the rest of the land of Palestine.

The state of Israel does not in any way represent the Jewish people. Judaism and Zionism, Judaism and the State of Israel are diametric opposites.  Judaism is religion. Judaism is subservience to the Almighty. Zionism is the transformation of religion into materialism. Judaism requires of us to be loyal to the teachings of God, and the Torah has expressly forbidden the Jewish people from having their own state, ever since the destruction of the temple.  For 2000 years, Jews never created their own state, even during their golden ages, when they had the power and influence to do so.

We want the world to know that the Zionist rule in Palestine is illegitimate in its entirety.  There is not one inch of the State of Israel that is legitimate. It's forbidden according to the Jewish teachings for the Jewish people to have their own State, even in a desolate and uninhabited land. And the crime is compounded a thousand-fold because with the occupation of Palestine they have breached other laws of the Torah: Thou shalt not steal. Thou shall not kill. And the commandment that one must emulate God.  As we say in Hebrew, "מה הו× רחו× ××£ ×תה תה× רחו× ". Just as God is compassionate, you should be compassionate.

Ever since the creation of the Zionist State, masses of Jews protest against it in many parts of the world. When the anti-Zionist Jewish community in Quds-Jerusalem stands up to denounce the Zionists publicly, the protestors get brutally beaten by the Israeli police. Are they militants? Are they carrying arms? They can never be accused of that, and yet they are bloodied, beaten and they die.  They are thrown into prisons, but the world does not speak about it.

When protests take place outside of their regime, the pro-Israeli activists will seriously intimidate any active anti-Zionist Jew in every way possible, in order to silence the voice of opposition....

This is part of the vile Zionism. and because of this, the majority of Jews around the world are intimidated and afraid to speak up. They fear for their livelihood and their reputation.  And of course, if you are not Jewish, they accuse you of being an anti-Semite.

Still, there are Jewish communities around the world that continue to speak out, they stand fast and firm against this occupation. We will never accept the State of Israel. We will never accept this occupation. We want you to know, that we cry, and our hearts are rent by the suffering of the Palestinians.  We want you to know that we stand up and demonstrate with the Palestinians and we say that their claim is right, there should be immediately a free Quds, a free Gaza and a free Palestine.

We are standing today just one year since the most recent Zionist bloody attack on Gaza. We all still remember the horrific images of what was done to them. We must save the people of Gaza —we must give them relief and not just talk of relief, a total relief with a speedy and peaceful end to this occupation.  There must be a speedy and peaceful end to the occupation of Quds and Jerusalem.

We hope that all wrongs should be righted in accordance with the Almighty's will. We want to return to that true peace that existed in Palestine prior the Zionist provocation.  Just like in other Muslim countries, Jews in Palestine coexisted in harmony with the majority non-Jewish population.  Unfortunately, ever since Zionism came into being and till this day, for over a hundred years, there has been an endless river of bloodshed of Muslims, of Christians and of Jews. And we point our fingers at the Zionists and we say: – your hands are covered in blood – you have created this conflict, you have stolen the land from the Palestinians, you oppress them to this day, you are the root cause of all this bloodshed from both sides. We were living together in harmony before you came, Jews, Muslims and Christians. You are the interloper. You are the foreign body that is invading our peaceful existence. If you will remove this political movement, this impediment to peace, called Zionism, then Jews, Muslims and Christians can work together and exist in peace.

We pray to The Almighty for a speedy, total and peaceful dismantlement of the state of Israel, may the Almighty bring it about without any further suffering.  We pray that God with His compassion should bring this about speedily.

Ultimately let us hope and pray for the day that we all yearn for, when God will elevate the world spiritually, when all humanity will recognize the one God, and all humanity will join hands to serve the One God in harmony.  Let us pray to God that He bring this about soon in our days. Amen.

Thank you. Asaleem Alaikem.
